Norman and Casey Pelletier and the MWVHSC go back a long, long way. Casey on Mica, her bay gelding and her Dad, Norm on Colima, his Arabian were regular exhibitors during those early years. Everyone will remember Norm's heartstopping hunter over fences classes; always with a smile and having a great time.
As time went on, Casey graduated and went on to school. After college, Casey opened her own stable in New Jersey and ventures north with a caravan of trailers to attend the MWVHSC and the Lancaster Fair Horse Shows.
Norm kept on competing with his Arabian until the horse was retired. Then it was a move on to Morgan Horses, which he still competes with today.
Lis is always right alongside Norm, helping with every "little" thing that has to be done. At some point soon, Lis would like to have a horse of her own. YES!
During all these years, there is no one who has been there to help more than Norm. He jumps right in if there's trail and hunt courses to set up along with a zillion other tasks that need an extra hand. Norm is the first one to jump into some of our off the wall events, in particular, riding a Three-Gaited Stick Horse under the lights at the Fair in 2004. Always a compassionate person, Norm designed his stable display to include benches for elderly Fairgoers to rest themselves while trekking through the horse show areas. His horses receive the best and are a true love of his life. Casey inherited all of her Dad's traits and it shows with her interaction with her clients.
The MWVHSC is grateful and thankful to have Norm, Lis and Casey as part of our horseshow family. The MWVHSC would like to honor these outstanding friends as our MWVHSC FAMILY STARS.
