Marc, Sandy and Mercedes Belanger
horses have even entered the picture. Such is the case with the
Belanger family from Whitefield. Marc's Mom, Faith, graduated with
me from Gorham High School. Although we went different paths in
life, it was with great pleasure that we've come to know Faith and
Ray's son, his wife Sandy and daughter, Mercedes through the
MWVHSC series.
The MWVHSC was the recipient of a beautiful Horse Show Banner
which was designed and donated by Sandy Belanger of Sandy's
Graphic Designs. The banner is shown in many of the photos in our
photo section. We are very appreciative and thank Sandy for this
great addition to our horse shows.
While he spends most of his time running between the farm, his job
and the show ring, Marc is always willing to help out as need arises.
The Belangers own several Morgan horses, a Palomino mare and I
believe, a draft team. Mercedes rides both saddleseat and
huntseat on the family's Morgans.
During the 2006 season, Mercedes also rode Summer Robinson's
grand Pinto, Rock's Prince Charming. Prince's owner rode
Mercedes' Morgan mare, Fair Hill Hello Dolly in several shows also.
Later in the season, Mercedes brought out her new Morgan,
Braveheart. The pair did well over the four days of showing at
Lancaster Fair. We are looking forward to watching Mercedes
progress with her Morgans.
