The 2009 MWVHSC General Information
and Rules
  1. All Shows will be held at the Lancaster Fairgrounds in Lancaster, NH
  2. Registration papers (breed) are not required to show.
  3. Horses of associated gaits (Tennessee Walkers, Missouri Fox Trotters, Paso Finos, etc.)  are
    welcome.
  4. Exhibitors must enter, show and be judged in a minimum of 75% of the particular class in order for
    points to accrue in that class for Year End Awards.  Example:  An exhibitor must show in Open
    English Pleasure a minimum of three out of the four times it is offered this season.
  5. ASTM helmets are recommended.  There shall be no penalty for using an approved helmet in any
    class.  *Helmets are required in Hunter Hack.
  6. Proper attire and class legal tack shall be used.  If in doubt, please ask management.
  7. Proof of current Rabies innoculation is required.  
  8. A copy of a current negative Coggins Test is required of all out of state horses.
  9. Please include a copy of the Rabies certificate and Coggins test with your entries at the
    first MWVHSC show that you attend.  We will keep them on file for the remainder of the
    season.  You will also need a copy available with you when you come through the gate at
    the Lancaster Fair.  This is per NH Fair Assn. rules!
  10. You will also have to present these papers for admittance at the gate for the duration of
    the Lancaster Fair.  Their records are independant from the MWVHSC.

Stallions are allowed, however the following shall apply:

1.  No stallion over the age of 1 year may be shown by a junior (under 18) in any class.
2.  Stallions must be kept
inside trailers at the first three shows.   Stallions will have stalls available
             at the fourth show.  
Mark your entry forms to designate if you have a stallion.  
3.  No stallion shall be tied to the side of a trailer.
4.  Stallions shall not be left unattended.
5.  Stallion owners shall be liable should any stallion gets loose, causes injury or shows disruptive         
                tendencies while on the grounds.
6.  Stallions will be kept a reasonable distance from other entries in halter and saddle classes.  There   
                will be no penalty for spacing a stallion away from others.
7.  The Judge and management shall remove any stallion deemed dangerous with no refund.
8.  Stallions are not allowed in any class Jr. Exhibitor, Walk Trot or Leadline Classes.
  1. Parking shall be in designated areas only.  There is ample parking at the June, July and August shows;
    however, theSeptember 4th show is held in conjunction with the Lancaster Fair and parking is minimal.  
    At this show, all trailers and personal vehicles* shall be parked behind the shed row stabling area.  *No
    personal vehicles shall be allowed to remain inside the show area.  Blue stickers are
    for unloading and loading only.  Any vehicles left in the show/stall/camper area will be
    towed and a fine levied.
  2. There is minimal infield parking for day exhibitors to work off their trailers.  No animals may be left
    unattended and absolutely no horses shall remain in trailers overnight.  
  3. You may school your horses in the ready ring or on the race track nearest to the showring.  ALL OTHER
    AREAS ARE OFF LIMITS.
  4. Exhibitors are asked to keep their gaits down to a walk in the stable and showring area.
  5. No exhibitor shall ride on the outside trail course if used.  Anyone doing so will be suspended from
    competiton.
  1. There are no stalls available for the June, July and August shows.
  2. There are stalls are available for the September 4th show ONLY.  Please indicate your stall needs on
    your September entry form.  Exhibitors may come in after 5 PM on Thursday and must vacate within one
    hour following the final class of the MWVHSC show unless Rule #3 below is in affect.
  3. EXCEPTION:  If you are pre-entered into the Lancaster Fair's Class AA show and HAVE RESERVED
    stalls for that show, you will NOT need to reserve stalls nor vacate for the MWVHSC show.
  4. No horses will be allowed entrance to the grounds during the Fair until Wednesday, Aug.27th.  
    NEW!  Stall rate: $60.00   Tack stall  $65.00   One tack stall per six horse stalls.  If you
    are combining stalls with others to get a tack stall, make sure that you send in all
    entries together with main contact person reserving the tack stall.  Reservations must

  5. Horse will be allowed onto the grounds on Wednesday, August 27th.  Any horses
    arriving earlier (by prior arrangement only) will pay an additional $20.00 per day, per
    the Fair Assn.
  6. Be sure to have a copy of your current Rabies certificate available (NH Fair Assn rule).

  1. There is no gate or grandstand admission charged at the June, July and first August shows.
  2. There is no grandstand admission charged at the September 4th show.
  3. NEW!   If exhibitors have pre-entered the Class AA show, you will receive 2 passes per horse
    entered.   These passes are good for Friday thru Monday only.  Passes must be signed.
  4. EVERYONE will pay gate admittance for Wednesday and Thursday.  
  5. There will be no additional horse show passes available at the horse show office.
  1. There are no hookups available for campers and RVs at the June, July and first August shows.
  2. If you are planning on attending the September 4th MWVHSC show and the Lancaster Fair Class AA
    Horseshow, you may reserve a camper or RV spot by including the request and payment to the Class
    AA secretary upon entering that show.  
  3. The rate for campers and RVs is $75.00 for the duration. Starting in 2008, anyone staying in
    their campers prior to Wednesday, September 2nd will pay an additional $25.00 per
    day, per the Fair Assn. There are water and electrical hookups only.  There are no hookups for
    sewerage or gray water.  A septic truck is available.
  4. ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY ALLOWS SEWERAGE OR GRAY WATER TO RUN ON THE GROUND
    WILL BE HELD LIABLE.  Anyone knowingly drives over a water line will be held liable.
    MANAGEMENT AND POLICE TAKE NOTICE.
  5. Exhibitors who have reserved a camper/RV spot and have received their camper/RV stickers may bring
    their units onto the fairgrounds between noon and 5 PM on Sunday, August 30th or anytime after 5
    PM on Tuesday, September 1st.
  6. DO NOT BRING YOUR UNITS IN AND LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED!  They will be towed.
  7. Absolutely no trailer, camper or RV may park inside the Fairgrounds Horse Show area without proper
    sticker.
  8. Blue vehicle stickers are only good for unloading and loading.  These vehicles must be
    parked outside the grounds behind the shed row stalls.
