Special Award

Quarter N Ranch
Challenge Award

The Quarter N Ranch Challenge Award is being entered into MWVHSC
competition in 2007 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the
Quarter N Ranch's involvement in the show ring.

First founded in 1953 by Warren "Stubby" Noyes family in Lancaster,
NH.  Quarter N Ranch derived it's name from two sources; first, the
family's love of the American Quarter Horse and secondly, from the
four Noyes family members who each owned a fourth interest in the
business.

Quarter N Ranch began showing it's horses in 1957 at the White Mt.
Riding Club show, thus starting a 50 year tradition.

Today, Quarter N Ranch is owned and operated exclusively by
Stubby's daughter, Penny, who continues the family tradition of
showing fine equines.
Most of today's exhibitors do not
remember Stubby Noyes so a touch of
history is included here.  Stubby
bought and sold many horses and one
of those, a pinto pony, was this writer's
first equine.  Those of us with a few
years behind us remember Stubby
with much fondness.  He was our
mentor, our teacher and yes, on
occasion, our worst nightmare.
Stubby was our friend.

We are extremely happy to accept this
competition award from Penny in
honoring her Dad, family and Quarter
N Ranch.

The Quarter N Ranch Challenge Award shall be awarded annually
to the High Point winner in the
Quarter Horse Pleasure Championship.

This award must be won three times
by the same horse and rider for
permanent possession.

Each year's winners shall be engraved on the
Quarter N Ranch Challenge Trophy.
A replica shall be presented to the winner.
