- Year End Awards will be awarded in all classes, 1 thru 40.
- Championship points will be applied back to their respective qualifying classes.
- There are no points in the Halter Championship.
- If a rider/horse has qualified for a particular Championship by competing in several of
the qualifying classes for that Championship, the rider must declare which Qualifying class they want their Championship points applied to. An example would be; If an exhibitor rode and was judged in classes 26 and 31, they would be eligible for Class 44 The Western Pleasure Championship. The rider must designate which of those two qualifying classes that they want their Championship points applied to. If no class is designated, the points will go to the first qualifying class the exhibitor qualified in, which in our example would be Class 26.
- In the case of the Equitation Championship, points will be applied to the qualifying class
determined by the seat the rider uses in that Championship. Riders may not enter the Equitation Championship riding a seat that they have not previously qualified under.
- THIS POLICY WILL PREVAIL AT EACH OF THE 4 SHOWS.
- Exhibitors must compete in a class a minimum of 3 out of the 4 times the class is offered
for points to count.
- A rider/horse is considered qualified if they have entered, shown and have been
judged. Placing is not a requirement.
- Exhibitors who have been dismissed by the Officials or by their own request are not
considered qualified.
- NEW! REWARD POINTS: These points are a 'reward' for those who compete
regularly but are having an off day. Everyone who completes a regular class but does not receive a ribbon will still be awarded 2 points. Those who qualify and enter a Championship and do not receive a ribbon will be awarded 4 pts. Entries who are dismissed or leave a class prior to pinning will receive 0 pts.

New Point Scale for MWVHSC Show at Lancaster Fair
Read carefully to understand!
Each class will be placed 1st thru 6th. Ribbons will be awarded as usual.
However, the Judge shall mark their class cards to 12th place or less if there are less in the class. We will determine the eligibility of each exhibitor working from 1st down. If an exhibitor is NOT in a position to have completed the required 3 out of 4 shows (Year End Awards), that exhibitor will not be considered for points. At this time, the next eligible exhibitor, regardless of ribbon, will move up in the points.
Example: Stock Type Halter
1st Horse (has shown at 2 previous shows) Points 10 2nd Horse (has not shown at 2 previous shows) Points 0 3rd Horse (has shown at 2 previous shows) Points 9 4th Horse (has shown at 2 previous shows) Points 8 5th Horse (has not shown at 2 previous shows) Points 0 6th Horse (has not shown at 2 previous shows) Points 0
The next horse marked on the Judge's card (not in the ribbons) is Horse 7 who has shown at 2 previous shows) This horse will receive 7 Points. The next horse marked on the Judge's card (not in the ribbons) is Horse 8 who has shown at 2 previous shows) This horse will receive 6 points. The next horse marked on the Judge's card (not in the ribbons) is Horse9 who has shown at 2 previous shows). This horse will receive 5 Points.
In our example, three of the ribbon earning horses were not eligible for Year End Awards, so they have not received any points. The next eligible horses down the list have been moved up and will receive points (not ribbons).
Hopefully, this will address the problem of Class AA horses who come in and use the MWVHSC show for schooling prior to the Lancaster Fair Horse Show, thus sometimes bumping our regular, loyal exhibitors.
This system worked very well in 2008 and will be used again in 2009
